I have found the Nokia 3210 to be the most reliable and sturdy phone I've ever had. I used to have one and then I moved on briefly to more modern phones with cameras and the like, but I found them annoying to work with, bad software/layout design and buttons annoying, tried a couple and moved back to my trusty Nokia 3210, feels like I've had it for a decade now, it's fell off a 30 foot+ scafold before and survived fine, a trusty brick that you can depend on, yep you could probably kill a man with it.
I believe the iPhone is (hopefully) finally worth upgrading too. For the first time I really see a device like the iPhone as not just an phone, but truly functional and well design music/video player with decent web-browser, wifi access and maps it sounds like a truly revolutionary device that fits in the palm of your hand. Probably better than my £250 HP iPAQ Windows Mobile 5 PDA that work got me.
