Email settings on iPhone

Postby 67mtv on Fri Nov 30, 2007 2:55 pm

Does anyone know how to create a junk mail filter on the iphone ? I`m with O2 and have synched the phone with the laptop ( the laptop has a Junk mail filter applied ) and all settings were synched so the phone worked straight away with email, but i get about 20 or so junk mails everyday which i have to delete individually. Also does anyone know how to delete the complete contents of the Trash as again i have to do it individually ?? HELP.

Did you find a solution to this? i haven't synched yet as wanted to find out problems like this beforehand:) How about setting up a email account just for your iphone and then having your laptop forwarding just the mail that made it through your filter?

itunes doesn't actually sync your email accounts. It copies the account settings to the iPhone. you can (and I would suggest should) set the iphone to leave the messages on the server so you can still pick them up from your mac/pc. Emails you send from the iPhone will not show up on your computer as sent. (there is an option to "always CC myself")
