They sure did. It is some thing like Christ. BC and AD :D

You remember how dull were the pre-iPod days were and the music players were so average too. Apple changed it all for good.

You can forget your round wheel and your turbo combustion engine, the iPod is the single most important invention in the world..... ever.

I remember as a kid, the only way to make a collection of songs is have a tape to tape 'ghetto blaster' and record songs from a casette album onto a blank casette.

Then you had the ball ache of searching the cassette for the song you wanted and then set the record buttons and pause buttons and stuff. A very long and laborious process. After about four hours you probably had just a handfull of songs on two sides of a 45 mins cassette. Then if you were lucky to own a 'personal stereo' which were orignally only for casettes you had to carry round a heavy bag of tapes to get a reasonable selection.

Can't imagine life without mp3's and iPods now. I would probably find the regression hard to take and would proabaly kill myself LOL

Hi Angelinalove

So are people!!!...

I should know... I'm a man and I've made two myself.

Seriously, it is not a question of theology or philosophy.. merely a statement to say how iPod has made listening to music, making compilations and listening to music 'on the go' so much easier, and with the currrant functions on iPod touch and iPhone (i.e. mini internet computers in your pocket) it does make a difference to our lives.

For instance I went walking today in a nature reserve and like an arse got completly lost in the surrounding woodland. Using my iPhone GPS I managed to find my way back to my car, using an aerial satelite view. LOL.

When it mentions 'changing the world' I do not think the post originatior meant changing the world physically, environmentally, geographically or morally...I think it was more of a statement of the effect it has had on our lives, and I think my arguement has bailed that statement out.

And as for man made things not being able to change the world, I suppose to you, aeroplanes, automobiles, Railways, life changing medicines, Television, Radio, DVD's, Computer's, games Consoles, the internet and your basic stretch of Motorway, all of which have changed different aspects of our lives irreversably, evolved naturally from nature over time did they?

Man made inventions have, for better or for worse been changing the world around us since time immemorial, and they will continue to do so..until their either kill us all or cure us all. LOL.

Have fun.
