The issues being;

Apple ripping us off by stopping us using our own tracks as Ringtones and even charging us TWICE if we choose to download them.

Bluetooth is locked down to only allow headset use, i.e. no phone to phone or iphone to computer bluetooth connectivity.

In time maybe :o

This is not true. Well i cant say for sure. I am already with o2. firstly my handset activated adn swapped my number over immediately. NO time delay not even 3 second delay. I was gob smacked. I bluetoothed my contacts from my nokia to my laptop and then ported them into itunes then synced them so not found a problem with wanting to blue tooth other things. I have a mac pro though so it blue tooths with that no problem.

I agree with the other nigggle ie 3g mms etc. But for its first try i think they got what they launched correct. I.e everything that is on the phone works with no faults. The things left out i wouldnt want them if they were not perfect so i expect those features and a lot more on the iphone 2 or 3

4/5 I have had the Black berry Pearl for over a year now and the Iphone is great. This is for in my case, a number of reasons: 1. edge is fine 2. Ipod no longer needed 3. imap is great (cant get company server 2003 to work, but working on it) 4. dont miss MMS as did not use it a lot

I would like to see txt messages in bulk as I sent lots out.

In a nut shell a good phone/ipod/internet/personl canender/txt machine

Regards John

I've had it for 2 days and love it, it is so easy to use like my other Apple equipment, the touch screen is amazing. Left it flat on my desk at work and people just see it straight away and want to look and touch (hands off!!!!).

It is truely the most iconic phone I've seen in a long time, probably since I first saw a Motorola Startac, back in the nineties.

I hope they continue to add features and updates via firmware to further enhance the phone.

I've found Edge not to bad, my only niggle is I can't sync between my laptop and my Imac which I can with my Ipod Video 30gb, so playlists have to be added via the laptop which I registered the phone on. I can probably work around this by backing up from my other mac my itunes library and merging the two.

This is only minor overall I think the phone is amazing.

Pretty chuffed with mine, disappointed with lack of phone2phone bluetooth and MMS, but knew this before i bought it! Edge seems ok and the ipod is spot on, which is the main reason i bought it - owned a SE W950i previously and wasn't impressed with Walkman player on it.

Just hoping Apple have some cool updates planned, i want to get rid of the "stocks" app think this is a bizarre addition an app for rss news feeds would have been better!!

Loving mine even if its an imported US model using the t-mobile network.
Same as others really annoyed that the mms function doesnt exist and no phone2phone bluetooth and the ring tones and message tones are crap!.
Love the flowing seemless way it flicks between apps, no need to have the weather or stocks on there they could have been used on a RSS feeder etc or even a pdf file?

All in all i love it everyone that sees you with just wants to know more and then become hooked, have had a viewty and a N95 before this and this is by far the better of those.......

Really good with t-mobile and does use the edge network well, ipod is great and i can now view youtube whereever i go.
A real classy phone.

the iPhone was a 5out of 5 before o2 came up with sticking a £35 minimum contract rate only for 200mins and 200 texts. All they've done is take there £15 a month contract and stuck a £20 internet connection on.

why not insted of buying an iPhone buy an iPod touch and then buy a ready good phone beacuse it would be far cheaper that way.

Why an iPhone??

Let's see:

I own an iPhone and have never been a Mac user before, so, I can't be considered a MacBoy, I say so because in some forums they say that the iPhone is a fashion gadget for pretenders or only for MacBoys, it was even hard to me to start using Itunes (the sound is better than Windows Media)... Second, the only reason why I bought an iPhone is because the iPod+Mobilephone facility, I hate to carry with me "4 different gadgets" (watch + mp3 player + mobile phone + Palm or something else).

Why iPhone and not another mobile with MP3 player?, just because the iPhone includes the best ever inbuilt MP3 player of any other mobile phone, not only because the interface (I'm not talking about the cover flow, which I consider useless but pretty), also because the quality of the sound (very important for me) and finally I bought an iPhone because if I want to have an iPod (I never had one before but I knew about the quality of the sound and easy-use interface) like the one that comes included in the iPhone, I have to pay £199 for the iPod touch, so.. I made my numbers and I paid £199 for the iPod touch plus £70 for the phone, I don't know you guys, but for me that is value.

Another important thing is the easiness of use, with iPhone you can text at light speed, faster than any other phone and you can call someone, looking at your contacts in 3 seconds, that is fast!!! and these are the only things that I do with my mobilephones, What else do you do with them? Did I said that if you have wireless at home, with iPhone you have the best mobilephone internet acces? Did I say that I have the whole Youtube in my phone?

Finally, I know that iPhone doesn’t have all the features that any other cheaper phone can have, but it satisfy all my necessities, so please STOP PUTTING ADJECTIVES ON ME AND EVERYBODY THAT OWNS AN IPHONE, I have read some posts by people that don’t have one calling people stupid or even swearing to iPhone owners for the fact of have bought one (where is the individuality?), I don’t know but seems so obvious that there is some level of envy. For sure somebody bought it because is EXPENSIVE and demonstrate status but some others didn’t. Respect.
