New iPhone On The Horizon.

Postby celina-iphone on Wed Dec 16, 2009 7:45 am

Rumors have already started flying about what the next iPhone could contain, but it is still too far off to have any definite information we can go on. Now there is evidence that a new iPhone prototype version is being tested by a select few in the public.

Evidence of this new prototype has been showing up in the data files of some App Store apps. While there hasn’t been any undeniable information provided as of yet we are all eager to see what new items Apple includes in its next rendition to stay ahead of Droid devices.

There are all sorts of rumouirs as there were before the 3GS was released.
Almost all will prove to be untrue.
Apple have stated that they intend to release a new model every year.

Only fact coming out which has been verified is that Apple have ordered 45 million 5mp camera modules. But whether these are for the iPhone only time will tell.

"The next iPhone will appear as soon as April and will include a host of upgrades that include a dual-core processor, improved graphics, video chat, an OLED display, plus - and this one is hard to believe - a removable battery."

Like I said, there are many rumours - just as there were before the 3Gs came out.

What company will have it?
O2 exclusive?

Don't think it will be exclusive in the UK. Suspect it will be available across all networks.
iPhone 4 32Gb on O2

iPhone 3G 8Gb on O2.

I've heard it will have an OLED display (hurray), removeable battery & will multitask - such as listening to a radio app whilst writing an email for instance. Have not heard if the WiFi flavour will be N rather than G though.
As for being exclusive to O2 - I'd put my money on not - I heard that O2 failed to reach the target number of iPhones in the UK, hence the other networks getting a look-in (but take this with a barrel of salt as it came from a Voda rep).
I decided to go with the 3GS now rather than waiting for the next model because my Sony Ericsson W890i kept on resetting itself - as good as it was but if it ain't reliable..
It did have better battery life though!!! I waited far to long to get into PCs because there was always something trick on the horizon!
