I doubt they will - not by December anyway.
Tesco have announced today 25th that they will be doing it but cannot say if they will be available for Christmas

im on tmobile and they will do the iphone 3gs on upgrade through a specialist team, via a company called chitter chatter.
just go through to normal upgrades say your leaving to get an iphone, they will arrange a call, from another department, job done

i got mine 2 weeks ago (white version)
phone was free
1000 mins unlimited data, unlimited txts £35 a month

T-mobile are joining with Orange. Wonder what package they will announce?

As it will be at least 2 years before the merger and rebranding are complete:

I would think that if T-Mobile get the iPhone in the near future the tariffs will be similar to those already on o2 and Orange. Any tariff war over the iPhone would have to take into consideration that Apple get a sizeable chunk of revenue from both handset sales and ongoing accounts.
Owner of iPhone 3GS on Orange iPhone 30 contract. Previously had an iPhone 3G on o2, which my wife now uses on Vodafone.

I hope T-Mobile don't get it. They have one of the most robust 3G networks and have always had sensible upgrade policies. If the suddenly get a vast number of iPhone users my excellent quality of service might go down....

It would be cool.
Unfortunately, people would leave o2.
As my upgrade from 18months of iPhone 3g was a goddamn Nokia 5700 Xpressmusic

Could be why the iPhone doesn't seem to appear on their site any more. Now they've discovered they can't get it...

People can get it but they have to be on a high contract or say that they are leaving only as an upgrade, but after reading about all the problems with chitter chatter i'm reluctent to get one via them and went and got one with Orange who are joining with T-mobile in september this year if nothing stops them merging
