Will external GPS antenna plug into TomTom iPhone mount?

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the iPhone TomTom mount has a plug for an external GP antenna? My 10 year old Audi has double glazing and GPS reception internally is non-existant and I currently use a TomTom dock with an external GPS antenna plugged in. I was wondering before I lash out on the iPhone TomTom mount and App. if I can plug the antenna in??

The official iPhone TomTom mount has a GPS receiver built in to supplement the appalling one in the iPhone. it is the only external GPS you can use with the iPhone and works with CoPilot (and possibly others) as well.
Why not buy the mount and by CoPilot instead?

If you can't get a GPS signal inside the cab then, I'm afraid, you're stuffed!
As confucious said, the TomTom has an additional GPS receiver built in and no facility for an external ariel.

I hired a Citroen Picasso once, with a heated front screen, and my Garmin wouldn't work through the front window. It did work through a front side window though.
Perhaps you could try different positions inside your Audi!

Copilot is a GPS app for smartphones that is an alternative to TomTom that many, including myself, believe is superior.

I first used CoPilot in 2004 (on Windows Mobile) and have been a beta tester for them for the past few years.
